NDIS Personal Care & Daily Living Support

Respectful everyday support at home, built around the participant’s routine, comfort and dignity.

Personal Care That Feels Safe and Respectful

Helen’s Disability & Daycare Service provides warm, reliable personal care and daily living support for NDIS participants across Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

Support is planned around each person’s routine, comfort, preferences and goals, and may include personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meal assistance and everyday activities at home.

What Personal Care Support Can Include

Personal care is not just about completing tasks. It is about helping the participant feel comfortable, respected and supported in their daily routine.

We Understand the Routine

We take time to understand the participant’s daily routine, preferences, communication style and personal care needs.

We Support With Dignity

Personal care is provided respectfully, with patience, privacy and care for the participant’s comfort.

We Encourage Independence

Where possible, support is provided in a way that helps the participant build confidence and maintain independence.

In-Home Personal Care and Daily Living Support

For many participants, daily support works best when it feels familiar and consistent.

Helen’s Disability & Daycare Service provides personal care and daily living support in the participant’s home or familiar environment, helping with the everyday activities that support health, wellbeing, comfort and independence.

Support may include help with showering, hygiene, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meals, daily routines and practical tasks that make the day feel more manageable.

We work closely with participants, families, carers and support coordinators to make sure support is safe, respectful and aligned with the participant’s NDIS goals.

Practical Support for Everyday Life

Personal care and daily living support can look different for every participant. For some people, it may be help with morning routines. For others, it may be support with meals, mobility, toileting, comfort or building independence at home.

Showering, Hygiene & Grooming

Respectful support with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, grooming and getting ready for the day.
We take a patient and dignity-focused approach, making sure the participant feels comfortable, safe and supported throughout their routine.

Toileting & Mobility Support

Assistance with toileting, safe movement around the home, transfers where appropriate, and general comfort during the day.
Support is provided carefully and respectfully, with attention to the participant’s privacy, safety and personal preferences.

Meal Assistance

Support with preparing meals, eating routines, hydration prompts and mealtime comfort.
This may include helping with simple meal preparation, setting up meals, encouraging regular routines and supporting the participant in a way that feels calm and familiar.

Daily Routines

Help with morning routines, evening routines, personal organisation and everyday structure.

We can support participants to move through their day with more confidence, whether that includes getting ready, preparing for appointments, completing daily tasks or settling into a regular routine.

Building Confidence

Support is provided in a way that encourages choice, independence and confidence wherever possible.
Our goal is not to take over, but to support the participant in a way that helps them feel capable, respected and included in their own daily life.

Why Choose Helen for your Personal Care

Personal care is one of the most personal forms of support. It needs to feel safe, respectful and familiar. As a small family-owned provider, Helen’s Disability & Daycare Service takes the time to build genuine relationships with participants and families. We do not rush the process or treat support as a checklist. Our approach is calm, patient and person-centred, with a focus on dignity, choice, comfort and independence. Helen brings experience across disability, aged care and early childhood support, and understands that personal care should be tailored to the person, not just the task.
